About this policy

BetterCore Labs provides ScrollRest, a digital-wellbeing utility that sends periodic reminders when selected apps reach a chosen usage interval. The app does not require a BetterCore Labs account.

App usage and installed apps

With your affirmative permission, ScrollRest accesses Android usage-time information and checks which supported or user-selected apps are installed. This is necessary to choose up to 5 free reminder apps, show usage time, and trigger reminders while the app is not open. BetterCore Labs does not transmit your app-usage history or installed-app list to its servers or to advertisers. Reminder settings, selected apps, and reminder progress are stored locally on your device.

Advertising and consent

The free version uses Google AdMob. Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect and share data such as IP address, interactions with the app or ads, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. Ads are requested only after Google’s consent system indicates they may be requested. Where required, you can review or change advertising privacy choices in Settings. ScrollRest does not provide your Android usage history or installed-app list to AdMob.

Pro purchases

Pro is sold as a Google Play one-time product. Payment details are handled by Google Play. ScrollRest receives purchase status through the Google Play Billing Library so it can unlock Pro and restore the purchase. BetterCore Labs does not receive or store your card number or bank-account details in the app.

Data sharing

BetterCore Labs does not sell your app-usage history or installed-app list. Those two categories are processed on-device for reminder functionality. Third-party Google SDKs used for ads, consent, and Play purchases may process data under Google’s terms and privacy practices as described above.

Retention and deletion

ScrollRest does not maintain a BetterCore Labs cloud copy of your app-usage history or installed-app list. Local settings remain on your device until you change them, clear the app’s storage, or uninstall the app. Ad and purchase information processed by Google is subject to Google’s retention and deletion controls. Because the app has no BetterCore Labs account, there is no BetterCore Labs account to delete.

Security

Sensitive usage and installed-app information used by the reminder feature stays on-device. Network communication performed by Google SDKs uses their secure transport mechanisms. BetterCore Labs does not intentionally send your usage history or installed-app list over the network.

Changes

This policy may be updated when ScrollRest changes its features, SDKs, or data practices. The public policy and the in-app policy should be kept consistent with the version distributed on Google Play.
